Different clubs approach their fees in different ways. At Virginia Elite we seek to be as transparent at possible regarding costs. The club fees cover all the player costs for the season, to include all tournament costs except player meals. Fees for 14s through 18s include a season finale tournament at Nationals or the Volleyball Festival. An additional cost of $1,000 will be incurred by the 12s and 13s players if they go to the National Championships.
In order to provide the best possible program and volleyball experience to our players, the club has provided $50,000 earned from camps and clinics to offset the costs of club improvements (such as coach training and national certification, scholarships, and college recruiting support). The club contribution also subsidizes our participation in the Power League to increase opportunities to play top competition, performance enhancement training, and video supported performance analysis.
The VA Elite program is not cheap. Providing predictable access to quality training facilities, a tournament schedule that supports player development and exposure, and high quality coaching is costly. After receiving feedback on player fees, the Board has provided an additional $15,000 to prevent, where possible, increases in player fees without compromising the program. As a result, we believe that we are able to provide the highest quality program in the region, at a cost effective price.
