VA Elite So Far...

In just our third year, Virginia Elite has made its presence felt in the Chesapeake (CHRVA) region of USA Volleyball. Positioning itself firmly as the regional powerhouse in junior volleyball, VA Elite is sending four of its six teams to the USA Volleyball National Championships and will have representation in four of the seven
participating age groups.

For only the fourth time since USAV added the 15’s and 17’s to national competition over a decade ago, a CHRVA club has won regional championships at three age groups. Moreover, for the first time ever, a single club (VA Elite) has taken the Championships at the three oldest age groups, the 18’s, 17’s, and 16’s. To punctuate our standing in the region VA Elite becomes the first CHRVA club to send four teams to nationals as our 15’s took second place at the regional tournament and captured an American Division bid to Nationals.

This type of performance continues to validate our philosophy that providing a rigorous technically driven training regimen will prepare athletes for a higher level of competition. Our philosophy is yet again validated, as next year all our graduating seniors will be playing volleyball at the college level. Even though we are saddened with the thought of the seniors graduating and moving on, we are pleased to have had the opportunity to see them develop into the fine young women they are today. We are particularly excited to be able to nurture the young women in our program who are starting their journey and who are creating their own paths to realizing their potential.

Needless to say none of this would be possible without the intense desire and talent of our athletes, the selfless dedication of our coaching staff, and the tremendous support of our parents. It is this emphasis on excellence that allows us to celebrate our successes. Our goal is to be better today than we were yesterday, and better tomorrow than we are today. Keeping the athlete first and leaving the winning to take care of itself has allowed us to truly enjoy this year.

A gracious thank you to all.
