17s and 18s in Dallas

All of the VA Elite teams had a great time in their end-of-season tournaments.

VA Elite 18s (Cobras) finished in the Bronze bracket of the 18 National Division of Nationals in Dallas.  They finished 19th in the Division.

VA Elite 17's (Surge) got off to a rough start in Dallas when they forfeited their first match to a team they'd previously beaten in Las Vegas.  Despite showing up 3 hours prior to the start time, tournament officials declared a forfeit for not registering in-person sooner. No appeal permitted. Things improved slightly when Surge had a chance to actually step onto the court against their next opponent. Despite losing 25-20, 25-18, Surge played well against Impact Silver (TN) which would eventually place 3 players on the All-Tournament team on their way to becoming #1 and claiming the championship. Finally, before finishing their first pool, Surge faced another good team which would go on to finish #5 in the tournament.  After this start, Surge got their game on, finishing with a 5-5 match record (including the forfeit loss) and a #34 finish, one spot above a team they beat in the 3 matches played this year (including a 25-9 beatdown in Dallas). Watch for this team next year when they come back as a healthy group with lessons learned and something to prove!  Click here for 17s photos from Nationals.

VA Elite 16s (Rush) finished 39th in the 16 National Divison and VA Elite 15s (Rampage) finished 41st in the 15 American Division.  Both teams had a great time in Dallas and played well.

VA Elite 14s (Explosion) had a great showing at the Reno Vollebyall Festival, finishing 11th in the 14s Division.  Way to go, Rampage!
